Terms of service

The ground rules for listening, sharing your work, and using the private beta.

Last updated September 23, 2026

Using Hypewire

These terms apply to the Hypewire app and website. Use Hypewire only if you agree to them. You must be at least 13, meet any higher minimum age required where you live, and have a parent or guardian’s permission if you cannot agree to these terms on your own.

Hypewire is a private beta. Features, availability, and test data may change or be reset. An access request does not guarantee admission, an invitation, or a launch date. Installing through TestFlight and receiving Hypewire account access are separate steps.

Your account and conduct

Provide accurate information, keep sign-in access secure, and do not impersonate someone else or transfer private access without permission. Do not manipulate listening or reactions, scrape or redistribute music, bypass access controls, interfere with the service, or use it for illegal, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, or infringing activity.

Music and artist uploads

Listening access does not transfer ownership or give you permission to copy, distribute, sample, or commercially exploit a track. Artists and other rights holders keep ownership of their work.

Artist uploads require approval to use artist features and the current rights attestation. The beta accepts original work only. Do not submit covers, remixes, uncleared samples, leased beats, AI voice clones, unauthorized artwork, or someone else’s unreleased work. You must have rights to the recording, composition, artwork, and every contributor’s participation, and be able to provide proof. Disclose AI artwork when the upload flow requires it.

By submitting content, you give Hypewire a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, reproduce, stream, display, and make it available through Hypewire, including through providers that operate the service. This license is limited to operating Hypewire; it does not transfer ownership. When content is removed, the license ends except as needed for backups, legal obligations, and resolving existing disputes. The beta does not promise publication, exposure, rankings, or royalty payments.

Reports and enforcement

Report abusive or infringing content through Hypewire support. Include enough information to identify it, explain the concern, and let us contact you. For copyright complaints, identify your work, the allegedly infringing material, and your authority to act. Do not submit knowingly false reports.

We may review or remove content and restrict or terminate accounts for violations, security concerns, or legal requirements. Repeat copyright infringement may result in termination. You can contact us to request review of a decision. An artist’s upload does not imply our endorsement.

Privacy and leaving

Our Privacy policy explains how we handle information. You can stop using Hypewire and request account deletion through the app. Contact us for support or questions about removal of your content and data.

Availability and applicable terms

The beta is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Keep your own copies of uploaded work. Nothing in these terms removes rights or protections that applicable law does not allow us to limit. California law governs these terms, except where mandatory laws in your place of residence require otherwise.

Apple’s standard app license applies to the iOS app where applicable; these service terms do not replace it. External services have their own terms. We may update these terms as the beta develops, post the revised date here, and provide additional notice when required. Visit Hypewire support with questions.
